This handles image compression with automatic tool fallback, trying sips, then cwebp, then ImageMagick, then Sharp until something works. It defaults to WebP at 80% quality and can process single files or entire directories recursively. The EXTEND.md configuration system is thoughtful, checking project level first then falling back to your home directory for personal defaults. You can keep originals or replace them, output as WebP, PNG, or JPEG, and get either human readable or JSON output. It's the kind of thing you'd wire up to a pre-commit hook or run manually when a designer dumps a folder of PNGs into your repo and you need to shrink them fast.
