The source here is pretty bare, but breadboarding in the context of shaping (likely from Basecamp's Shape Up methodology) is about sketching out interface ideas and flows at a very rough level before committing to detailed design or code. It's the step where you figure out what goes where and how things connect without getting precious about pixels or implementation. Part of the rjs/shaping-skills collection with 1.3K stars and 127 installs, so there's some adoption. Useful when you're in early product conversations and need Claude to help think through user flows and component relationships without jumping straight to polished UI. The lack of documentation is a miss, but the concept itself is solid if you're doing product work.
npx -y skills add rjs/shaping-skills --skill breadboarding --agent claude-codeInstalls into .claude/skills of the current project.
