When you need to fire someone, give hard feedback, or tell someone they didn't get promoted, this walks you through it using frameworks from 43 product leaders. It'll help you prep with SBI (Situation-Behavior-Impact), avoid ruinous empathy where you're too nice to actually help, and practice the conversation before you have it. The most useful bit is probably the distinction between feelings and attributions, because "I feel like you don't care" isn't a feeling, it's an accusation. Also includes the Matt Mochary rule that you should never fire someone by email, which feels obvious but apparently needs saying.
