Evaluating New Technology

When you're evaluating a new AI vendor or deciding whether to build something in-house, this gives you frameworks from product leaders at Google, Shopify, and similar companies. The best insight here is "build and buy" instead of "build vs buy." Buy tools for the 90% standard stuff, build the 10% that's unique to your business. Also flags common traps like making decisions based on what models couldn't do six months ago (your priors are probably stale) and trusting AI security vendors who claim their guardrails catch everything. Useful for cutting through hype when the stack is changing every quarter.
