Forces you to distill a solution into one page before you start writing specs or building anything. You get a template that walks through problem recap, proposed solution, 3-5 key features, success metrics, trade-offs, and risks. The constraint is the point: if you can't explain your approach in 500-700 words, you probably haven't thought it through. Good for getting stakeholder buy-in or aligning teams when you need something more concrete than a problem statement but less detailed than a full PRD. The trade-offs section is especially useful because it makes you explicitly call out what you're not doing and why.
