Before you spin up a transcription job or fire off a subtitle request, this router figures out which media workflow you actually need. It looks at five dimensions: input type, goal, quality target, scale, and cost mode, then routes to audio-transcription, video-transcription, subtitle-packager, or editing-decision-engine. The quality ladder matters here. Rough means fast and cheap for logging or beat spotting. Subtitle-ready ensures accurate timestamps. Edit-ready pulls in semantic analysis and prepares A-roll/B-roll decisions. It stops hard if intent is ambiguous or a command fails, no fallback magic. Honest take: this prevents you from running an expensive edit-ready pipeline when you just wanted a quick transcript.
