The library handles pagination well with an everything() method that actually fetches all results, not just the first page. Authentication needs a user ID and API key from Zotero's settings. Nice touch: it includes a local mode that can talk directly to Zotero 7 on your machine without API credentials, plus optional CLI and MCP server extras for full-text PDF search. If you're building research automation or need to programmatically wrangle a bunch of references, this beats clicking around the Zotero UI.
