Adaptation Synthesis

Useful when you want an agent to adapt a work by preserving its functional DNA instead of copying surface details. The source frames adaptation as a function-first translation problem: identify the structural pressures, emotional jobs, and creative mechanics that made the original work, then find new forms that satisfy those jobs in a different context. The honest caveat is that this is more conceptual than operational, but it gives Claude a strong guardrail against lazy one-to-one remixes like turning every monarch into a space emperor.
