You need this when you're managing Google Groups programmatically and want to adjust settings without clicking through the admin console. It wraps the Groups Settings API with get, patch, and update methods so you can read current configurations, make incremental changes, or completely replace settings via command line. The patch method is especially handy since you only send the fields you want to change rather than the entire config object. Like the rest of the gws suite, you'll need to set up authentication first and should run gws schema before making calls to see what parameters each method actually expects. Good for automation scripts or when you're bulk-updating group permissions and moderation settings across your workspace.
