Product Sense Interview Answer

This is a structured framework for answering open-ended PM interview questions like "How would you improve YouTube?" or "Design a product for travelers with flight anxiety." It walks you through a six-part answer spine: clarify the prompt, build rationale, define a product goal, segment users, prioritize pain points, then propose an MVP with explicit tradeoffs. The structure is designed to sound good out loud, not just on paper, and it forces you to pick a target user and pain point before jumping to features. Use it when coaching PM candidates who solution-jump too early or when you want a repeatable way to turn messy ideation into a crisp 20-minute mock interview answer.
