Wraps TheMealDB's free tier API to bring recipe data into your MCP client without any auth setup. You get four straightforward tools: search by meal name, fetch full recipe details by ID, pull a random recipe for inspiration, or find everything you can make with a specific ingredient. Each recipe includes ingredients with measurements and step-by-step instructions. Hosted on the Pipeworx gateway, which means you can either add just the recipes endpoint or connect to their full gateway for access to 600+ other data sources. Useful when you're building cooking assistants, meal planning features, or just want to let Claude help you figure out what to make for dinner.

Add to your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.):
{
"mcpServers": {
"recipes": {
"url": "https://gateway.pipeworx.io/recipes/mcp"
}
}
}
Or connect to the full Pipeworx gateway for access to all 673+ data sources:
{
"mcpServers": {
"pipeworx": {
"url": "https://gateway.pipeworx.io/mcp"
}
}
}
Instead of calling tools directly, you can ask questions in plain English:
ask_pipeworx({ question: "your question about Recipes data" })
The gateway picks the right tool and fills the arguments automatically.
