Connects Claude to OpenReview's API v2 for querying machine learning conference submissions, reviews, and paper metadata. You get six tools: list and filter venue groups (conferences, workshops), pull full paper threads with all reviews and rebuttals by forum ID, search notes with full-text queries, and fetch individual notes or venue metadata. Runs through Pipeworx's gateway, which means you can use ask_pipeworx to query in plain English instead of calling tools directly. Useful when you're doing literature reviews, tracking submission trends across ML conferences, or need structured access to peer review discussions without scraping HTML.
OpenReview MCP — ML conference submissions and reviews (API v2)

| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
list_venues | List venue groups (conferences, workshops). Use the returned group id to query submissions. |

get_paper | Paper + all child notes (reviews, rebuttal, decision, metareview). Pass the forum id (= paper note id). |
search_notes | Full-text search across notes. |
Add to your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.):
{
"mcpServers": {
"openreview": {
"url": "https://gateway.pipeworx.io/openreview/mcp"
}
}
}
Or connect to the full Pipeworx gateway for access to all 673+ data sources:
{
"mcpServers": {
"pipeworx": {
"url": "https://gateway.pipeworx.io/mcp"
}
}
}
Instead of calling tools directly, you can ask questions in plain English:
ask_pipeworx({ question: "your question about Openreview data" })
The gateway picks the right tool and fills the arguments automatically.
