Connects Claude to the European Patent Office's Open Patent Services API. You get four tools: bibliographic data (title, inventors, applicants, dates, classifications), INPADOC family lookups to trace related filings worldwide, plus abstract and claims text retrieval. Useful when you're doing patent research, prior art searches, or building workflows that need structured patent metadata. Runs as a hosted service through Pipeworx's gateway, so no API keys or local setup. You can call tools directly or use the ask_pipeworx natural language interface to let the gateway route your questions automatically.

{
"mcpServers": {
"epo-ops": {
"url": "https://gateway.pipeworx.io/epo-ops/mcp"
}
}
}
Or connect to the full Pipeworx gateway for access to all 673+ data sources:
{
"mcpServers": {
"pipeworx": {
"url": "https://gateway.pipeworx.io/mcp"
}
}
}
Instead of calling tools directly, you can ask questions in plain English:
ask_pipeworx({ question: "your question about Epo Ops data" })
The gateway picks the right tool and fills the arguments automatically.
