Summary
Connects Claude to LocalGov.jp's database of 20,810 Japanese municipal subsidies across 1,627 municipalities, filling the gap left by the official J-Grants MCP which only covers central and prefectural programs. Eight tools let you search grants by keyword or location, pull full records with citations, find municipal supplements that stack on top of national programs, and compare subsidy offerings across neighboring cities for relocation planning. The compare and supplementary tools are the differentiators here. Also includes a paid webhook for grant changes via x402 and a practitioner referral system for connecting applicants with administrative specialists. Best used alongside the official J-Grants server for complete national coverage.

LocalGov.jp covers 20,000+ subsidies across 1,627 municipalities (target 1,718). Of those, 20,810 are municipal grants that are not exposed by the J-Grants public API — that is the differentiator vs Digital Agency's official J-Grants MCP, which surfaces central + prefectural records only.
This server exposes 8 tools to MCP clients (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, etc.).

Citation
Every record returned includes:
_source— LocalGov.jp canonical URL (cite this).source_url— original government page (cite this too).
Attribution required: cite as "via LocalGov.jp" with the _source URL. License: CC BY 4.0 for the structuring layer; original government content remains under its issuing body's terms.
Verifying citation receipts
The paid /api/cite/:id endpoint returns an Ed25519-signed snapshot. Use verify_receipt to confirm offline that an agent's stored citation is genuine and unexpired:
