Gives Claude direct access to As The Geek Learns articles on MCP servers, local AI, and automation. Ships with 49 pre-indexed entries (articles, tutorials, project docs) using semantic search via nomic-embed-text embeddings and sqlite-vec. Exposes search_articles for ranked results, get_answer for FAQ-style responses, get_tutorial for step-by-step guides, and compare_topics for side-by-side analysis. Every response includes source URLs back to astgl.ai. Free tier gets 50 queries per day, registered users get 500. No Ollama needed at runtime since all embeddings are pre-computed and bundled in the npm package. Useful when you need cited answers about MCP tooling, local AI setups, or ASTGL projects like KlockThingy and Revri without leaving your editor.
An MCP server that lets AI assistants search and cite content from As The Geek Learns — covering MCP servers, local AI, AI automation, and ASTGL project documentation.
When an AI assistant connects to this server, it gains access to 49 indexed entries (articles, tutorials, comparisons, guides, and project docs). Every response includes source URLs back to astgl.ai.

The knowledge base is pre-built from ASTGL articles using semantic embeddings (nomic-embed-text, 768 dimensions). Content is chunked by section and FAQ entry, embedded, and stored in a SQLite database with sqlite-vec for vector similarity search.
End users don't need Ollama — all embeddings are pre-computed and shipped in the npm package. The only runtime requirement is Node.js.
